Futura Show features every year the best digital animation works
produced all around the world. This edition is marked by the presence
of highly creative works such as The Cathedral by Plastige
Image (Best Animation Short in the last edition of SIGGRAPH,
using just 3D Studio Max), as well as brilliant works of plastic
art experimentation such as Le Déserteur by One
Plus One / Supinfocom or Gjenta by Erik Bakke.
An edition including wonderful animations which, as a general rule,
have a duration longer than we are used to. Works produced not only
by the great effects companies (PDI / Dreaby One Plus
One / Supinfomworks, Framestore, Mikros Image,
etc.), but also little treasures created by independent artists
who use the digital medium as a new canvas.
