This selection of the boldest and most innovative electronic music videos in the last twelve months shows not only the increasing range of the genre but also a fresh visual nonconformity. BY DESIGN - RESFEST (Estimated length: 70 minutes)
This year's selection of television design and motion graphic pieces goes beyond the corporate purposes which have given rise to this media. Themes such as post-apocalyptic alienation and futuristic what-ifs, and works exploring the form and function of urban space and modern civilization from an ironic and deconstructionist viewpoint. Many pieces from this selection of graphic design works combine conventional techniques, like cinema and illustration, and other more home and traditional techniques to break, even more, the mould of this genre.

MICHEL GONDRY RETROSPECTIVE (Estimated length: 70 minutes)
Michel Gondry's early precision with geometry and his roots as a drummer in a Parisian rock band with artistic aspirations are not the only factors turning this internationally renowned visual innovator into someone different from the other directors. Gondry's ongoing collaborations with Björk or The White Stripes suggest his inexhaustible well of visually and conceptually profound ideas, and his understanding of those elements you need to use in the audiovisual media in order to achieve the greatest possible impact. A new music video by Michel Gondry is also synonymous with visual tricks never seen before by means of either highly inventive camera manipulations or the innovative digital techniques he creates in collaboration with his brother Olivier. His inspired projects are usually the result of both a scientific search and a slightly punk and home inspiration. It is not surprising he has held a privileged position not only among music video creators, but also in advertising and more and more in the world of cinema. This retrospective shows his earliest videos for his own band Oui Oui, tests and experiments where the director explores the use of seminal effects (like the "frozen moment"), groundbreaking commercials and, of course, a selection of the most magic moments in his music video career, including his latest for The White Stripes, "The Hardest Button to Button."

VIDEOS THAT ROCK - RESFEST (Estimated length: 70 minutes)
"Rock 'n' Roll never dies" seems to be the proud declaration of the filmmakers responsible for this Rock and Pop video selection, rejecting the idea that a video should portray a concert on stage, developing instead spectacular audiovisual shows and allegorical stories. Solemn animations for Queens of the Stone Age, Goldfrapp and White Stripes are combined with the muffled wails of Beck, Mogwai, Sigur Ros and Radiohead. While the lines dividing guitars and electronic music fade away, it seems that the possibilities, for both eyes and ears, are more and more inexhaustible.
