Andrew Vande Moere is the editor of
Information Aesthetics, the outstanding
weblog dedicated to exploring the art and science of the dynamic representation of information. In his blog, Andrew shows and analyses
artistic projects of
design and investigation based on the exploration in real time of large databases and the communication, by means of innovative interfaces, of the meaningful patterns hidden within their interiors.

“Mediarchitecture”
http://www.realities-united.de/
The German studio realities:united have specialized in the development of architectural projects that integrate the
dynamic flows of information in an urban landscape. They have a vision of a changing architecture in which the buildings do not remain static and unchangeable for years, but in which they constantly transform their appearance by means of integrated
visualization systems. Their most well-known interventions are their “mediafaçades” such as
BLIX (Graz, Kusthaus) and
SPOTS (Berlin, Postdamer Platz), interventions which transform the entire façade of a building into a
data screen that reflects the activity of the interior of the building and its surroundings.

“Light Flows: UVA”
http://www.uva.co.uk
The collective of British designers and programmers UVA (United Visual Artists) have become recognized as one of the most outstanding groups in the international digital scene over the last few years. Well known by the public at large for their work designing impacting light and information shows for
U2,
Massive Attack and other giants of the musical industry, UVA have also put their name to their own installations, interior design, video clips and an original live show that visitors to ArtFutura will be able to see for the first time in Spain. Their work uses
lighting and
visualization technologies along with software of their own development to create spaces that mutate in response to the evolution of data flows.
